At Intiwasi, we are proud to be an International Baccalaureate (IB) candidate school. The IB program focuses on developing well-rounded students who strive to be active, compassionate, and lifelong learners. Below are the ten IB learner profiles that guide our educational philosophy and approach:

Curious and Enthusiastic Learners: Our students nurture their curiosity, developing skills for inquiry and research. They learn independently and with others, fostering a love for learning throughout life.

Informed and Educated: Students explore concepts, ideas, and issues that have local and global significance. They acquire in-depth knowledge across a broad range of disciplines.

Critical and Creative Problem-Solvers: We encourage our students to use critical and creative thinking skills to analyze and take responsible action on complex problems. They exercise initiative in making reasoned and ethical decisions.

Honest and Fair: Students act with integrity and honesty, with a strong sense of fairness and justice. They respect the dignity and rights of people everywhere and take responsibility for their actions.

Effective and Confident Speakers and Listeners: Our learners express themselves confidently and creatively in more than one language and in many ways. They collaborate effectively, listening carefully to the perspectives of others.

Appreciative and Respectful: Our students appreciate their own cultures and personal histories, as well as the values and traditions of others. They seek and evaluate a range of points of view and are willing to grow from the experience.

Compassionate and Empathetic: We show empathy, compassion, and respect towards the needs and feelings of others. Our community is committed to service, making a positive difference in the lives of others and the environment.

Courageous and Resilient: Students approach uncertainty with forethought and determination. They work independently and cooperatively to explore new ideas and innovative strategies. They are resourceful and resilient in the face of challenges and change.

Healthy and Well-Rounded: Our learners understand the importance of balancing different aspects of their lives—intellectual, physical, and emotional—to achieve well-being for themselves and others. They recognize their interdependence with other people and the world.

Thoughtful and Self-Aware: Students thoughtfully consider the world and their own ideas and experiences. They work to understand their strengths and weaknesses in order to support their learning and personal development.
