Key Attributes of the Learners We Grow

At Intiwasi, we believe education is not only about what children learn, it’s about who they become. The International Baccalaureate (IB) Learner Profile guides everything we do, shaping students into thoughtful, compassionate, and confident individuals who lead with purpose.

Key Attributes of the IB Learner Profile:

Inquirers: Children nurture their natural curiosity by asking meaningful questions and exploring new ideas through play, projects, and research. They learn how to learn, with wonder and independence.

Knowledgeable: Students build deep understanding across disciplines, connecting science, art, and language to real-world ideas in a global context.

Thinkers: They use critical and creative thinking to solve problems, make decisions, and approach challenges with confidence and innovation.

Principled: Honesty, fairness, and integrity guide their choices. They learn to act with respect, for themselves, others, and the planet.

Communicators: Fluent in both Spanish and English, Intiwasi students express themselves clearly, listen thoughtfully, and collaborate with empathy and respect.

Opens-Minded: Children value diverse perspectives and embrace new ideas. They see difference as beauty, and curiosity as connection.

Caring: Intiwasi learners show empathy and compassion by taking action to help others — from classroom kindness to community service.

Risk-Takers: They step beyond their comfort zones, try new things, and see mistakes as part of the learning journey.

Balanced: Students understand that growth comes from harmony, balancing mind, body, and heart through academics, creativity, and play.

Reflective: They pause to think about what they’ve learned, celebrate progress, and set new goals with confidence and self-awareness.

At Intiwasi, our curriculum and daily interactions are designed to instill these qualities in our students, preparing them to be global citizens who are confident, compassionate, and committed to making the world a better place.
