COUNSELOR IN TRAINING PROGRAM

 

​For children ages 9+ with prior Spanish experience

Our Counselor-in-Training (CIT) Program is a unique opportunity for bilingual youth to grow as leaders, deepen their Spanish fluency, and gain meaningful experience in a supportive, fun-filled camp environment.

What Will CITs Do?

  • CITs are active helpers and role models who will:

  • Assist lead teachers in the classroom

  • Choose to work with preschool or elementary-aged children

  • Support transitions, help set up activities, and model positive behavior

  • Participate in daily camp routines while learning how to mentor, guide, and inspire younger campers

What Are the Benefits?

By joining our CIT program, participants will:

  • Develop leadership, communication, and mentoring skills

  • Gain real-world experience in a Spanish immersion environment

  • Practice responsibility, empathy, and teamwork

  • Strengthen Spanish fluency through meaningful, interactive engagement
