Bake Sale: Preschool vs. Elementary – The Competition Is On!

Get ready for a sweet showdown! After Elementary swept the titles of Best Reader and Biggest Fundraiser during the Red-a-thon, it’s time to see which team will take the crown for the most delicious treats and funds raised.

But this bake sale is about more than just sweets and friendly competition.

This year, the Bake Sale is part of a student agency project, where children are involved in the entire process alongside their teachers—from choosing what to bake to understanding the purpose behind fundraising. Students are not just participating; they are leading.

All proceeds will go toward patio improvements, and here’s the exciting part:

Students will help decide what upgrades and materials they’d like to add to their outdoor space. Our goal is to empower children to have a real voice in how their school looks and feels—so it truly becomes a place where they feel ownership and belonging.

Throughout the project, students are integrating real-world learning, including math skills like budgeting, measuring, and planning, while working collaboratively and making meaningful decisions.
