Join us for 4 weeks of spring inspired activities destined to get students immersed in Spanish language. Each week has an interesting STEAM based theme that will allow them to use the Language in a natural setting.
Elementary Spring Camp
For children ages 4.5-9 years old. Students are separated in age appropriate groups. Spanish prior experience is desirable whether it is in a formal or informal setting. Classes are intended to be taught immersion style and activities are developed to promote Spanish oral proficiency.
Preschool Spring Camp
For children ages 2- 4.5 years old. No prior Spanish experience is needed. Students in our preschool program are offered a 2 hour nap window. No napper can be accommodated but please inform your admissions specialist when enrolling. Nap time is from 1 PM- 3 PM so most of the classes take place in the morning.
Our Critters and Crawlers series will focus in STEAM based activities that will allow student to learn about amazing creatures that live in our garden. So many times children and adults are scared of bugs and little critters in we find in the outdoors, but so little we know on their importance in our life. During this series we will focus in learning more about this little creatures and maybe learning how to love them and protect them.
From March 30- April 3
During camp students will practice Spanish immersion style. Our classes will be designed to learn new target vocabulary. We will also learn how to create a composting bin and what to feed and not feed our worms. We will also learn fun facts about worms, and places where they like to hang out and why. We will learn a bit about arthropods, the parts of the body of an earthworm, and their amazing contribution to humans.
This week we will focus in learning more about our 8 legged friends. We will distinguish between venomous and non venomous spiders and learn more about how they help humans.
So many times we are terrified when a bee passes close to us, but so little we know as their important work and how bee communities are now endangered. During this week we will learn more about this amazing pollinator and see how beneficial vital they are for humans.
we will learn more about these marvelous creatures and whiteness their metamorphoses first hand. We will learn more about different types of caterpillars, what they eat and how they slowly morph into beautiful butterflies or even moths.
