Every parent's schedule is different and every child's development is unique. Our preschool plans are tailored to meet you and your child's needs. All our prices are annual and we require a 10 month commitment for the whole school year that runs September - June. Please refer to our academic calendar for specific dates. Students attending for summer will be subject to summer camp preferential pricing for Intiwasi families and enrollment is weekly. Snacks are included in tuition. 

Flexible preschool programs for every parent and child

We work with multi-level classrooms through stations of exploration. Each station has different levels allowing children to learn at their own pace and allows children to explore a field of study such as math, art, language, and science through hands-on activities. During station time, children have the opportunity to choose where to work and rotate through different stations at their own pace and lead by their own curiosity, forming their independence and freedom of choice.

Our preschool program follows a STEAM curriculum that places high emphasis on arts and science. Music, art, sports, and dance are embedded into our school day allowing children to express themselves kinesthetically and visually.

A great foundation

All of our students participate in yoga and gardening twice a week. In yoga class, children learn to control their bodies, understand concepts of balance, and meditation. While gardening, children get to explore the outdoors, see how food grows, and try new flavors.

Our values

Our Preschool offers a variety of schedules including a half-day schedule perfect for transitioning your child to our Preschool. Classes are specially developed to help children get their feet wet with preschool while exposing them to Spanish through diverse activities such as music, movement, and art.

This schedule is recommended for children between the ages of 2 - 3.5 years who are not yet ready for a full schedule but want the opportunity to smoothly transition to preschool. Once in our transition program, students are introduced to the basics of preschool life through fun activities and a variety of stations including gardening, yoga, music, art, and lots of play!

The classes are taught 100% in Spanish, giving your child a full Spanish immersion and helping them acquire the language in a natural way.

Our elementary school program follows a STEAM curriculum that places high emphasis on Arts and Science. Music, Sports, and Dance are embedded in our school day to allow children to be more kinesthetically aware of their bodies.

Throughout the day, students navigate through different subjects of study including Math, Science, English, Geography, History, Language (Spanish), Art, and Music.

In class, students learn first through teacher-directed lessons which then later are relevant to apply to our exploration stations. These exploration stations are meant to allow the students to fully grasp the lesson by applying the concept. The core of our philosophy is learning through exploration and questioning. In class, we tinker students' minds to promote critical thinking by creating hypotheses and drawing conclusions. Elementary Spring Camp

F﻿or children ages 4.5-9 years old. Students are separated in age appropriate groups. Spanish prior experience is desirable whether it is in a formal or informal setting. Classes are intended to be taught immersion style and activities are developed to promote Spanish oral proficiency. 



P﻿reschool Spring Camp

F﻿or children ages 2- 4.5 years old. No prior Spanish experience is needed. Students in our preschool program are offered a 2 hour nap window. No napper can be accommodated but please inform your admissions specialist when enrolling. Nap time is from 1 PM- 3 PM so most of the classes take place in the morning.

Spring Camp Information

Our Critters and Crawlers series will focus in STEAM based activities that will allow student to learn about amazing creatures that live in our garden. So many times children and adults are scared of bugs and little critters in we find in the outdoors, but so little we know on their importance in our life. During this series we will focus in learning more about this little creatures and maybe learning how to love them and protect them.


During camp students will practice Spanish immersion style. Our classes will be designed to learn new target vocabulary. We will also learn how to create a composting bin and what to feed and not feed our worms. We will also learn fun facts about worms, and places where they like to hang out and why. We will learn a bit about arthropods, the parts of the body of an earthworm, and their amazing contribution to humans.

T﻿his week we will focus in learning more about our 8 legged friends. We will distinguish between venomous and non venomous spiders and learn more about how they help humans.

S﻿o many times we are terrified when a bee passes close to us, but so little we know as their important work and how bee communities are now endangered. During this week we will learn more about this amazing pollinator and see how beneficial vital they are for humans.

w﻿e will learn more about these marvelous creatures and whiteness their metamorphoses first hand. We will learn more about different types of caterpillars, what they eat and how they slowly morph into beautiful butterflies or even moths.

Students will learn how to collaborate and work as a team to elaborate fun DIY projects such as bath bombs, lip balm, boats, and other creative fun creations. By the end of the week, the students will have a show and tell to share with classmates their favorite creations. 

Friday Fun Activity: Water bouncy House Extra fee $15 (Student ages 3.5 and up)

Students will explore delicious pastry and bread recipes from around the world. Based on what they have learned with a few ingredients given. At the end of the day, we will all get to sample each other's creations.

Our students will discover the dances, costumes,  flavors, and traditions of our closest Spanish-speaking neighbor.

through fun team-building activities, engineering projects, and difficult challenges our students will learn how to work with a team speaking-only

in Spanish to create a final project and then present it to the class.

In this thematic unit, students will learn about famous buildings and builders from the old and new Worlds. We will learn about different famous buildings from the famous Pyramids of Giza to the Sagrada Familia. Travel with us around the world to discover architectural marvels from the old and new worlds.

Desired field trip: Watts Towers (Elementary only, extra fees may apply)

Discover the amazing biodiversity of the Great Coral Barrier, the amazing creatures that live there, their complex ecosystem, and the challenges it faces due to global warming. Through fun experiments, students will understand a bit about the bleaching process which threatens coral reefs around the world. 

In Addition, students will learn about Australian Culture and traditions and their language.

Desired field trip: Visit the Science Center (Elementary only, extra fees may apply)



Students will learn about all the wonderful creatures that live in the Amazon rainforest and the types of climate and vegetation one can find in different parts of the rainforest. In addition, we will get to try and cook some traditional foods from the region, and learn about traditional dances and how the people native to the region live.

A Ladino language and culture program teaching kids ages 3-10.

Rachel Kaufman is a PhD student in Latin American and Jewish History at UCLA. Her research focuses on New Mexico crypto-Judaism and the Mexican Inquisition. Rachel has spent much of her life in the classroom with students from preschool to high school, teaching courses on Color Theory, Writing about Art, Creative Writing, and History, and is so excited to have the opportunity to learn with and from the students at Intiwasi. Rachel studied opera in college and recently published her first poetry book, entitled Many To Remember (Dos Madres Press, 2021). She received a BA in English and History from Yale University.

Drop In Classes

Costs include all class materials, class projects and guest speakers who might come to the class to share culture. Students must sign up for the whole series and there will be no makeups for missed classes. If student have to miss classes it is possible to speak with administration and get credit for camps or other fun activities.

Ladino developed amongst Jewish populations expelled from Spain in the fifteenth century who then settled throughout the Ottoman Empire, Europe, and the Americas. These Sephardic Jews preserved the Spanish they took with them from the Iberian Peninsula and incorporated linguistic elements from their new environment into the language. Ladino thus adopted elements from Turkish, Greek, Serbo-Croatian, French, Italian, and Arabic. Many beautiful songs, stories, plays, and other forms of literary and artistic expression have been written in Ladino since the sixteenth century, and families continue to pass down Ladino to their children across the Sephardic diaspora.

At Intiwasi, we believe that kids learn language best when they're having fun, so we design our Spanish camps to promote Spanish acquisition while children are enjoying themselves.
