About the event

Join us on this meaningful experience to culminate our second unit of Inquiry and celebrate Native American Heritage Month. This experience directly connects to our current IB PYP Unit of Inquiry, “How We Organize Ourselves,” as students explore how communities structure their societies, traditions, and relationships with the natural world.

During our visit, students will:

  • Take a guided walk through natural habitats once home to the Chumash people.

  • Visit a replica Chumash village and learn how people lived, traded, and worked together.

Participate in a hands-on craft activity, and, time permitting, enjoy storytelling and traditional games led by museum educators.

As a parent chaperon you can help our teacher create an unforgettable experience for our students.
